Glad To Get Out, Tour*, 2021 You will agree that it’s been a tough few months for many across the country. Emotional health challenges, bereavement, working long hours or financial difficulty, to name just a few. The unfortunate truth is that some of these challenges could hang around for quite a while yet. Tom Elliott, a full time, touring Comedy Magician is the Co Founder of a thriving variety night in Doncaster which has grown significantly over the last 12-18 months and had a positive impact on the community, especially following the floods, back in December. Also a Christian, Tom’s calling is to bridge the gap between the church and mainstream, encouraging relationships between the two and enabling the church to be represented and heard, changing perceptions and provoking conversations. Whilst this tour isn’t strictly a Christian event, we hope that the local church will be at the forefront of it’s partnerships and sponsors. Tom has been described by Miranda Hart as 'Such Fun', been featured on BBC TV & Radio, had a feature piece in The Times Newspaper and will be gearing up for a 14 day run at Edinburgh Fringe during the summer of 2021. Tom also welcomes his good friend and big band vocalist, Charlie Green, alongside the input of local schools and/or community choirs. Working alongside theatres, lieutenancy offices, local businesses and community groups, plans are in motion to take this variety night on tour to every county in the UK in mid 2021. Giving 100% of the ticket income back to the hosting theatres, Tom and his team are looking for 20-25 mini sponsors of the event in each and every county. Sponsors might include local businesses or community groups, willing to make a contribution of just £60 and to promote the event through their networks. In return, we can offer some recognition at the event. Pulling this together would mean a family friendly event in all 48 counties of the UK, rebuilding the morale of the people, reuniting the community, honouring local heroes, celebrating the arts and raising money for a local charity. For more information and/or to become a sponsor of the event, please sign up at gladtogetout.co.uk * Tour Name might change!
